How do I rent equipment?

  1. All equipment is for Las Arañas member’s personal use only.
  2. All Guild members will pay rental for personal use of equipment.
  3. Contact the Rental Chair, Ruth Ronan ((505) 268-0726 or [email protected]) for all rentals.
  4. Equipment may be rented for up to two months. The rental period may be extended on a month to month basis if no one is on the list to rent the equipment. The Rental Chair has final determination. Rent is to be paid when items are picked up. Renters use the equipment at their on risk
  5. If there is any damage to the equipment beyond normal wear and tear, the renter is responsible for the cost of the repair. The carders are a special problem so a $50 deposit in the form of cash or a check (in addition to the rental fee) is required when the carder is rented.  If the carder is returned, clean and in good working order, the deposit will be returned, otherwise the funds to clean and/or repair the carder will be taken from the deposit with any remaining funds returned to the renter.
  6. Fill out the Rental Agreement form and return to Ruth Ronan with the rental fee.
  7. If you are renting equipment to use for a workshop and only need it for a few days, you may rent it for $1/day, up to the amount of a month’s rent.
  8. Do not give/lend equipment to another member to use unless Ruth Ronan has approved your doing so.
  9. Contact the Rental Chair, Ruth Ronan ((505) 268-0726 or [email protected]) when you are ready to return the equipment.
